It is a perennial plant of the legume family, possessing high forage value: in 1 kg of hay there is a significant amount of protein and feed units, as well as vitamins and mineral substances necessary for full nutrition of animals. Alfalfa also improves the soil, enriching it with nitrogen and organic substances, which has a favorable effect on subsequent crops. Sowing seeds is recommended in spring with a rate of 15-20 kg/ha, with a sowing depth of 2-4 cm depending on soil moisture.
