STEPANOVSKAYA 1

The "STEPANOVSKAYA 1" blueberry honeysuckle is a new Far Eastern variety obtained from wild forms of the Far East and included in the Russian Federation state registry. The bush is characterized by a vigorous, moderately spreading structure with a dense reverse-conical shape. Canes are of medium length, straight and slightly hairy; leaves are light green.

Fruits are medium-sized (0.8–0.9 g) with an elongated-oval shape, purple-blue coloration, and a thick skin. Fruit detachment is easy without skin breakage, making them convenient for harvesting and subsequent processing. The taste is sour-sweet with a delicate aroma, without bitterness; sugar content is 7.3%, acids – 1.1%. Fruits are rich in vitamin C (about 60 mg/100 g), carotene, B group vitamins, and trace elements.

Yield is approximately 75.5 c/ha with an average yield of 2.6 kg/bush. The variety is winter-hardy (high) and has medium drought and heat tolerance. Diseases and pests have not been recorded, and fruits are suitable both for fresh consumption and various types of processing.
