Description Sirius
The "Sirius" blueberry variety – a medium-sized bush with a compact, slightly sprawling form, height up to 1.6 m. Shoots of medium thickness, directed upwards and to the sides, have a light-green tip and grayish hue. The bush is characterized by moderate prickliness and good winter hardiness.

Berries are large (approximately 1 g), oval in shape with a blunt-tapered tip, almost black in color with a waxy coating. Taste is sour-sweet, with a slight bitterness and aroma; tasting score around 4.6 points. Fruits are rich in vitamins: vitamin C content is approximately 16 mg/100 g, and active compound P – more than 1500 mg/100 g.

"Sirius" boasts high yield and early fruiting: by the third year after planting, yield reaches about 1.2 t/ha (or 4.5 kg/bush), and by the fourth – up to 8.0 t/ha with an optimal placement scheme. Fruiting is regular, fruits do not drop and are well attached to the bush. The variety is self-incompatible, but for pollination other varieties of Altai blueberry can be used. Resistance to diseases and pests is high, and frost resistance allows growing it in all regions of Russia.
