Description FIREY OPAL
Lonicera "Firey Opal" is a tall bush with a dense, branched crown up to 1.8 m high, distinguished by high yield and a long fruit maturation period. The fruits have an elongated oval shape with a pointed tip, about 1.6 cm long and weighing from 0.8 g to 1.0 g. The fruit skin is dense and smooth, ensuring good transportability and suitability for technical processing.

The berries have a sour-sweet taste (in some regions a more bitter note may appear), and contain a lot of vitamin P. Due to drought resistance, pest and disease resistance, as well as high winter hardiness, the plant is easy to grow on chernozem and in other soil conditions.

The yield of one bush exceeds 3–4 kg, the bush does not shed its fruit, and the fruit maturation is extended, allowing one to enjoy fresh fruits for a long time. "Firey Opal" is suitable for both home consumption and commercial processing.
