Honeysuckle Volkhova

Lonicera "Volkhova" is a variety recognized in 1999, distinguished by high yield reaching approximately 30 tons per hectare. The bushes of this species are tall with a dense and compact crown; the bush height is about two meters, and the diameter of the densely closed crown zone ranges from two to three meters. Thanks to this plant structure, they are resistant to adverse climatic conditions and are easily managed during agricultural maintenance.

The fruits of the "Volkhova" variety have an elongated-oval shape with a pointed tip, weighing about 0.8 grams. They are large, bluish-blue in color, and possess a rich aroma reminiscent of a strawberry shade mixed with delicate fruity notes. The berry taste is sweet, with sugar content reaching 8.5% and acidity at 1.9%. Meanwhile, vitamin C in the fruit comprises 56.3 mg per percent composition, making them a valuable source of antioxidants.

The variety is distinguished by resistance to low temperatures and is capable of maintaining fruit quality even during sharp weather fluctuations. This allows "Volkhova" to be used both in open fields and in limited spaces where high yield and stable taste are required. Due to the combination of taste qualities, high productivity, and climatic resistance, lonicera "Volkhova" becomes the preferred choice for gardeners seeking a balanced harvest with excellent aroma and nutritional value.
