GIANT'S DAUGHTER

Honeysuckle 'Giant's Daughter' – a large-fruited variety of medium and high yield with a late ripening period, which begins in late June and continues until the first week of July. The fruits have an elongated or cylindrical shape, measuring from 2.2 to 3.5 cm in length, weighing from 1 to 2.5 g, with a thin dark-blue skin featuring a beautiful bluish waxy bloom and a tender pulp. The taste is dessert-style, sour-sweet, without bitterness; the berries are suitable for fresh consumption, freezing, canning, or thermal processing – beneficial properties are preserved.

Bushes of medium height (1–2.5 m) with an oval crown of medium density, densely placed branches. The variety is frost-resistant and winter-hardy, as well as showing high resistance to diseases and pests. Requires a sunny location and fertile soils; regular irrigation increases yield, but the plant is not demanding regarding soil.

'Giant's Daughter' is distinguished by its large-fruitedness, high frost resistance, and low maintenance requirements. Average yield reaches 10 t/ha (3–3.5 kg per bush), and under optimal conditions, up to 4.5 g of fruits can be collected from a single plant. Due to the content of vitamin C, antioxidants, and selenium, the berries are a valuable source of nutrients supporting the immune system and promoting disease prevention.
