Queen

The strawberry variety 'Queen' is mid-early and was developed by crossing the Vanta and Red Gontlet varieties. The bushes are compact, about 20 cm high, which facilitates care and harvest. This variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness, withstanding temperatures from -25 to -40 °C, allowing cultivation in various climatic conditions. Fruit bearing occurs in June, and the period of active yield lasts 2-3 years. The strawberry 'Queen' is not remontant and prefers a short day length.

The berries of the variety have a proper conical shape with a glossy, pleasant to touch surface. They are large, weighing on average 30–40 g, but under favorable weather conditions and good care can reach up to 60 g. The taste of the berries is sour-sweet, with moderate acidity, juicy and firm, making them attractive for fresh consumption. The fruits are characterized by good storage life and transportability, which allows maintaining their quality during transport.

The yield of the 'Queen' variety is quite high — up to 3 kg from one bush and up to 130 c/ha. Due to its characteristics, this variety is suitable both for personal cultivation and for commercial production. The strawberry 'Queen' is valued for the combination of taste qualities, large berry size and resistance to adverse conditions, which makes it an excellent choice for gardeners and farmers.
