Description LINOSA
Linosa is a remontant variety of Italian selection, a novelty for Ukraine. Plants of this variety form medium-sized bushes with bright green, dense leaves. The bushes are semi-spreading, of medium growth strength, up to 30 cm in height and up to 40 cm in diameter. The flower stems are long and strong, and the berries are located at the same level as the leaves, facilitating harvesting.

The berries of Linosa have a conical or truncated-conical shape, a rich orange-red color, and a dense, moderately juicy flesh with small cavities inside. The average fruit weight ranges from 25 to 40 grams, although the first berries may reach up to 70 grams. The berries have a sweet taste with a pleasant aroma, making them attractive for mass consumption and sales. The variety is characterized by high yield — from one plant, you can harvest 800 to 1000 grams of berries depending on agronomic practices.

Linosa has two fruiting peaks: the first occurs 7-10 days later than ultra-early strawberry varieties, and the second lasts from mid-summer until late autumn. The time from the start of flowering to full berry ripening is 30-35 days. The variety exhibits high resistance to fungal diseases, including powdery mildew, and tolerance to root system diseases. However, it is moderately susceptible to leaf spot disease. The strong root system allows the plant to adapt well to poor and heavy soils, requiring minimal fertilization and showing no signs of chlorosis.
