Lviv Early

Strawberry variety 'Lviv Early' is a large-fruited, early-ripening variety developed at the Lviv Experimental Station of Horticulture by crossing 'Coral 100' and 'Kyiv Early'. This time-tested variety features conical berries with a stem, bright red color, and shiny skin. Berries are large, weighing up to 30 grams, with medium-density, juicy, aromatic flesh and a harmonious sweet taste. Sugar content ranges from 5.62% to 9.02%, acid content from 0.62% to 0.84%, and vitamin C reaches 80-83 mg, making the berries not only delicious but also nutritious.

Fruiting begins in mid-May, with berries ripening uniformly. The plant's flower stems are strong, well-branched, and of medium length, ensuring resistance to mechanical damage and ease of harvest. With good care, the first berries may be double. The variety is characterized by high yield and good berry transportability, making it popular both in commercial and amateur strawberry cultivation.

'Lviv Early' is low-maintenance and grows well on various soil types, but requires adequate moisture to achieve maximum productivity. Plants exhibit high winter hardiness and resistance to most diseases, though occasional infestations by strawberry mites may occur. Thanks to these qualities, the variety maintains its popularity and competitiveness among modern strawberry varieties.
