Description Amazonka
Amur honeysuckle variety "Amazonka" – is an early, winter-hardy shrub up to 1.5 m tall, which quickly attracts attention with its large yield. Fruits appear already in early June and retain their shape on branches, not falling off when picked. Berries reach a mass of up to 1.6 g, have an elongated flask shape with characteristic bumps, dark blue color with a bluish bloom, and a thin skin.

The taste of berries combines sweetness and a slight tartness, sometimes a slightly bitter note, making them ideal for desserts and fresh consumption. Bushes of medium density, weakly spreading, with curved brown shoots and small green leaves of elongated-ovate shape. Self-incompatibility of the variety allows growing it in small plots, but for maximum yield it is recommended to plant 2–3 different forms with the same flowering period.

"Amazonka" differs in high resistance to frost and heat, as well as good drought resistance. Average yield is about 2 kg per bush, and fruits do not fall off and maintain integrity even when picked. This makes the variety popular among gardeners looking for a reliable source of sweet berries with minimal care requirements.
