Honeysuckle Roksana

Working with Roxana honeysuckle

When setting up a berry orchard, you need reliability. Roxana, produced by FANCA, is a variety for those who value predictable yields over flashy but fragile harvests. The bush reaches 1.2–1.5 meters, making it incredibly manageable for manual harvesting — no ladders or heavy pruning equipment needed.

Performance and Yield

In real-world conditions, you can expect a steady 1.5–2.5 kg per plant. It is a solid, honest yield. Regarding flavor, Roxana offers that distinct sweet-and-sour profile with a characteristic hint of bitterness. This makes it a great choice for both fresh market demand and home processing. With an average berry weight of 1.0–1.5 g, the fruit holds up well during handling and transport, showing minimal bruising.

Maintenance and Care

• Growth habits: The compact structure allows for easy row spacing and light management.
• Resilience: Low susceptibility to common diseases keeps maintenance costs down.
• Pollination: Like all honeysuckle, it requires a companion variety for cross-pollination to reach peak yield potential.

Maintaining Roxana is straightforward. It doesn't require constant hands-on intervention or extreme fertilization programs. If you are looking for a variety that survives cold winters without excessive protection and provides a consistent yield year after year, Roxana is a dependable workhorse for your plantation.
