Amfora

AMFORA is a popular variety of Russian-bred honeysuckle with a medium ripening period. Bushes reach a height of about 1.5 m and have upright shoots, a dense rounded crown, and dense leaves. Fruits are large (up to 2 cm in length and up to 1 g in mass), flask-shaped with a strong blue-black skin covered with a waxy bloom, which prevents them from falling immediately after harvesting.

The berry taste is harmonious: sweet-sour with a slight bitterness and a cranberry note. The skin is dense, the pulp is firm, so the fruits maintain freshness and transportability. The variety is versatile – suitable both for home storage (juices, jams, compotes) and for commercial production.

AMFORA is distinguished by its high yield (from 0.6 to 1.5 kg per bush) and resistance to pests and diseases. The plant prefers sunny places, light, slightly acidic soils, but does not require deep root systems and can withstand drought. The fruits are rich in biologically active substances: used as a vessel-strengthening agent for hypertension, in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, diuretic, and general strengthening effect. Juice made from berries treats warts and ulcers. Bushes begin to bear fruit as early as the second or third year after planting, and one plant can yield from 2 to 6 kg of berries after a few years.
