The VILIGA honeysuckle variety is the result of breeder L.P. Kuminov's work. Large berries are dark blue with a blue bloom, juicy and sweet, giving the fruit a bright aroma. The ripening period is medium-early, which allows planning the harvest at the optimal time.
The VILIGA bush is vigorous, compact, with straight, glabrous shoots of light green color. Leaves are large and light green, while flowers are large and yellow. The fruit is elongated with thin skin and weak pubescence – all this makes the berry easily recognizable and pleasant to taste.
The variety is resistant to shattering, frost, and has average drought and heat tolerance. It is suitable for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Moscow region. Recommended after regional testing, as the berries contain vitamins and useful substances. Yield reaches 2.4 kg per bush with proper care and favorable conditions – a light-loving bush tolerates partial shade, but yield decreases. Soil should be light or medium, slightly acidic or neutral, clay-loam or sandy loam.
