Lettuce YEKLA

Crop Stability with 'Yekla'

When working with specialty lettuce, predictability is the most important factor. This Iceberg variety from Enza Limited behaves like a professional in the field: no surprises during the growing cycle and minimal waste at harvest. Working with it is efficient because the crop is consistent in its development, which is critical for scheduling harvests.

Agronomic Advantages

• Hassle-free Protection: The variety exhibits excellent resistance to downy mildew and internal necrosis. For a grower, this translates to reduced fungicide costs and peace of mind during storage.
• Powdery Mildew Resistance: It is worth highlighting the breeder's focus on resisting powdery mildew. In high-humidity conditions, 'Yekla' demonstrates solid resilience, significantly reducing the risk of losing marketability.
• Marketability: The plant forms a neat head with dark green, medium-sized rosettes. It is an ideal format for retail—the head is dense, heavy, and handles transport perfectly.

Dutch breeding by Enza Zaden Beheer B.V once again proves its reputation. 'Yekla' is the choice for those who prioritize the quality of the marketable head and want to ensure the crop won't succumb to diseases right in the field.
