Elmundo is a medium-maturity Iceberg lettuce variety intended for growing in open ground, especially during hot summer periods. This variety is characterized by an upright rosette of leaves with a height of about 27 cm and a diameter of 31 cm. The leaves are of medium size, round-flat, green in color, with a bubbly surface and a slightly wavy edge; they have small, rare incisions in the upper part. The head of Elmundo is dense, closed, and round in shape, weighing from 350 to 450 grams, which makes it convenient for harvesting and transportation.

The variety is distinguished by high resistance to various adverse factors, including downy mildew and lettuce aphid, and also possesses resistance to bolting and internal necrosis. The short, high petiole facilitates field harvesting. The yield of the variety is from 3.1 to 4.3 kg per square meter, making it attractive for growing both in personal subsidiary plots and for commercial purposes.
