This variety is characterized by high productivity and adaptability, allowing it to be grown both in open ground and under plastic covers or in greenhouses during spring-summer and autumn periods. The vegetation period is approximately 48-60 days depending on conditions. The plant features strong growth energy, a well-developed root system, and a robust leafy canopy, ensuring stable yields even with minimal care, although regular watering significantly improves growth and harvest quality. Frillice forms a compact rosette with dark green, crinkled-edged leaves that have a dense, crisp texture. Head weight ranges from 350 to 700 grams. The leaves possess a pleasant, slightly sweet taste and refreshing aroma, making this lettuce ideal for fresh consumption, salads, sandwiches, side dishes, and garnishing. Due to its tightly arranged leaves and dense structure, the harvest maintains freshness and market appearance for up to two weeks after harvest, enabling long-distance transportation and fresh market sales. The Frillice variety exhibits resistance to false powdery mildew, mosaic virus, and tolerance to bolting, reducing the need for pest and disease treatments. The plant is cold-tolerant and can withstand frosts down to -5°C. For successful cultivation, sow seeds on the surface to a depth of up to 1 cm, with rows spaced approximately 20 cm apart and plants spaced about 10 cm apart after thinning. It is important to protect seedlings from drafts and direct scorching sun, and to ensure regular watering, especially on hot days. The lettuce does not like excessive mineral fertilizers, so fertilization should be applied moderately.
