Mucsuma F1

Mucsuma F1 cabbage is a late-maturing hybrid variety of head cabbage developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan. The maturation period is 130-140 days, making it suitable for long-term storage and processing. Heads are round, dense, with a medium weight of 2-4 kg, colored bright green with a short head. Leaves are strong, dense, covered with a strong waxy coating, which contributes to resistance against adverse conditions and pests.

The Mucsuma F1 hybrid is highly adaptable to various climatic conditions, including temperature fluctuations, dry climates, and poor soils. It is recommended to grow under cover — in plastic greenhouses or under agrofiber — to achieve maximum yield, which can reach 10-12 kg per square meter. Planting density is 25-30 thousand plants per hectare. Cabbage grows well both from seedlings and direct sowing in open ground.

The variety exhibits high resistance to fusarium and damage from thrips due to its strong waxy coating and robust root system. Cabbage is not prone to cracking and features uniform head maturation. Due to its dense structure and even leaf layering, Mucsuma F1 is suitable for fresh consumption, pickling, and processing with high yield of marketable product. The cabbage retains its marketable qualities during storage for 4-5 months, withstands heat and transportation well, making it a versatile and reliable choice for cultivation across all of Ukraine.
