Forrester

Forrester lettuce is a mid-early maturing iceberg lettuce variety developed by the Dutch seed company Bejo Zaden. The vegetation period is approximately 45 days, allowing it to be grown both in spring and autumn in open and protected soil. The plant is characterized by high productivity and resistance to adverse conditions, as well as resistance to false powdery mildew and certain pests, making it a reliable choice for farmers and gardeners.

The heads of Forrester lettuce have a slightly flattened shape, dense and uniform, weighing between 400 to 600 grams. The leaves are bright green, broad, with wavy edges, crisp and juicy, without bitterness, giving the lettuce excellent taste qualities. The plant height reaches about 40 cm, and the head diameter up to 30 cm. Due to these characteristics, this lettuce is ideal for preparing fresh salads, sandwiches, and decorating festive tables.

This lettuce variety is valued for its excellent appearance and stable yield, which is successfully marketed fresh. Forrester is not prone to bolting, which extends its usability and ease of cultivation. Seed packaging typically contains 5000 seeds and is supplied in professional bags, which is convenient for commercial cultivation.
