BONARDA

BONARDA is a red variety of Batavia intended for hydroponics and plastic greenhouse cultivation. It features fast growth among red varieties and stable leaf coloration that is maintained even under changing growing conditions and low light levels. Its deep ruby-red leaves are short, thick, and dense, allowing them to maintain shape and structure when tossed with dressings. Thanks to its Knox trait, the lettuce retains freshness and extends shelf life after harvest.

This variety has high stress tolerance, enabling its cultivation during the summer period. BONARDA is suitable for year-round production and can be used as a standalone product or mixed with other varieties, such as Caravel. Disease resistance, specifically to HR:Bl:16-37EU/Nr:0, ensures reliability and yield stability.

BONARDA was developed by Rijk Zwaan and is recommended for cultivation in all regions.
