Lettuce Feddenas

Gastronomic Potential and Market Prospects

Dutch breeding from Rijk Zwaan traditionally sets quality standards, and the 'Feddenas' variety is no exception. Officially registered in Ukraine in 2026, this lettuce is aimed at professional cultivation for the fresh market and HoReCa segments. Its key advantage lies in the combination of aesthetic appeal and high resistance to stress factors, which is critical for maintaining marketability during transport.

Purpose and Market Quality

• Fresh Consumption: The leaf rosette possesses excellent taste characteristics, making the product highly sought after in retail. The delicate yet dense leaf structure makes it an ideal base for salad mixes.
• Transportability: Due to genetic traits developed by Rijk Zwaan experts, the variety demonstrates high tissue density. This minimizes the risk of damage during long-distance shipping, ensuring the produce reaches store shelves in perfect condition.
• Storage: The variety maintains freshness and turgor for an extended period after harvesting, reducing waste percentages in retail chains.

'Feddenas' is the choice for those who prioritize crop stability and predictable results. In today's market, where consumers value appearance and a crisp texture, this variety provides the necessary balance between cultivation efficiency and the appeal of the final product to the buyer.
