Lettuce Monza

Dutch breeding for global markets

The 'Monza' lettuce variety is the result of extensive research and development by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan Zaadteelt en Zaadhandel B.V. As a population variety, it represents a commitment to stable and consistent performance in the field. Following its official state registration in Ukraine in 2026, the variety has become a notable addition to the professional vegetable production sector.

Origin and Development

Developed by Rijk Zwaan, a global leader in vegetable breeding, 'Monza' was designed to bridge the gap between high European quality standards and the specific needs of regional agricultural environments. The selection process focused on creating a reliable crop that maintains its characteristics across different growing conditions, providing farmers with a dependable harvest.

Market Positioning

In a landscape increasingly dominated by intensive hybrids, 'Monza' offers a distinct advantage through its stability. Its 2026 registration in Ukraine serves as a testament to its performance, meeting rigorous state testing standards. For growers, this means a predictable, high-quality product that aligns with modern market demands for consistency and reliability in lettuce production.
