Lettuce Anandra

Dutch breeding excellence for modern agriculture

The Anandra lettuce variety is a product of extensive breeding efforts by the Dutch company Enza Zaden Beheer B.V., a global leader in vegetable genetics. This hybrid was developed to meet the demands of professional growers who require consistency, high yield potential, and strict adherence to international quality standards for leafy greens.

Registration and market entry

In 2026, Anandra was officially registered in Ukraine, marking its entry into the national market as a certified variety suitable for commercial cultivation. This registration follows rigorous testing for agricultural suitability, confirming that the hybrid meets the high performance benchmarks required by the Ukrainian agricultural sector. For Enza Zaden, this milestone reinforces their commitment to providing high-quality, reliable seed material to the region.

Strategic positioning

Unlike traditional varieties, Anandra was engineered with modern, intensive farming practices in mind. The Dutch breeders focused on creating a plant that balances genetic plasticity with robust resistance to pathogens, ensuring reliable performance across various soil types and growing conditions. In the Enza Zaden portfolio, this hybrid represents a premium choice for producers aiming for consistent market-ready quality.
