Siretskaya is a perennial grass crop grown mainly for hay and green mass production. The plant features dense, nutritious culms rich in trace elements and vitamins, making it a valuable feed in animal husbandry. Kostritsa has a well-developed fibrous root system capable of penetrating over two meters deep, which ensures high drought resistance.
Siretskaya has no special requirements for climate or soil: it withstands severe winter frosts and grows in various soil types. To obtain quality hay, flowering must be prevented, otherwise the grass becomes tough. With proper care, the crop yields two full hay harvests, and up to 100 centners per hectare under optimal conditions.
On pastures, Siretskaya withstands five full grazing cycles, providing a stable feed flow for livestock. The recommended sowing density is 180–200 grams per 100 square meters (1 ar). The product is packaged in polyethylene bags in kilograms and produced in Ukraine.
