ROSTUQUE is a perennial grass known as smooth brome. The plant reaches a height of 120 to 150 cm and is characterized by a deep root system that allows roots to penetrate the soil up to two meters deep. Such a system ensures high drought resistance and helps stabilize the soil, preventing erosion and runoff.
Smooth brome is valued as a fodder plant due to its rich content of protein, crude protein, trace elements, and vitamins. It is widely used for haymaking and as pasture feed for animal husbandry. The plant is easy to establish in various latitudes, withstands freezing temperatures, and can be sown in both spring and autumn. It is often grown in mixtures with other grasses, legumes, and loosely tufted herbs, which increases yield and feed diversity.
From an agronomic perspective, smooth brome is distinguished by high productivity: during one season, the plant can be mown twice, providing a significant reserve of feed. It is not afraid of trampling, is well-suited for pasture areas, and is resistant to mechanical damage. Thanks to its properties, ROSTUQUE becomes a valuable resource for both agriculture and the preservation of soil structure in agroecosystems.
