Smooth brome Celia

German Breeding for High-Yield Pastures

The 'Celja' smooth brome variety from Euro Grass Breeding KG represents the gold standard of European forage grass breeding. In intensive livestock farming, the choice of forage crop determines not only hay yields but also the overall profitability of dairy production. 'Celja' distinguishes itself from competitors primarily through its adaptability and resilience across a wide range of soil and climatic conditions.

Key Advantages

• Regrowth Rate: After each cut, the variety demonstrates vigorous regrowth, allowing for 3–4 full harvests per season with proper irrigation and nitrogen application.
• Nutritional Value: High protein content and excellent fiber digestibility make this smooth brome an ideal component for the rations of high-yield herds.
• Adaptability: The variety handles drought periods exceptionally well, maintaining productivity where other grass crops tend to stagnate.

Who is this choice for?

'Celja' is an optimal solution for farms focused on establishing long-term pastures or producing high-quality haylage. Thanks to its robust root system, the plant not only provides fodder but also helps stabilize the soil, preventing erosion. This is a reliable option for agricultural professionals looking for the right balance between low maintenance and the high nutritional requirements of their livestock. The German breeding expertise of Euro Grass Breeding KG guarantees consistent results and high seed purity, which is critical for achieving a uniform stand free of weeds.
