Quince NOVORICHNA

A Compact Choice for Professional Orchards

For those looking to optimize orchard space without compromising on yield, 'Novorychna' stands out as a pragmatic solution. Developed by the Nikita Botanical Gardens, this quince variety is specifically noted for its manageable, compact crown, which makes orchard maintenance highly efficient.

Operations and Maintenance

From an operational standpoint, 'Novorychna' is a low-maintenance asset. Its natural semi-dwarf structure significantly reduces the labor hours required for pruning and harvesting. Because the tree is compact, you do not need heavy machinery, which keeps overhead costs low. Furthermore, its high resistance to diseases minimizes the need for chemical interventions, providing both cost savings on plant protection products and a cleaner, more marketable harvest.

Climate Resilience and Productivity

The variety’s high frost resistance makes it a reliable choice for regions where winter hardiness is a critical factor for capital preservation. The trees demonstrate consistent performance, which is vital for long-term production planning. As a universal-use variety, the fruit is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing (preserves, jams), allowing you to adapt to market demand quickly.

Handling and Storage

The 1–2 month shelf life strikes the right balance for medium-term logistics. You have sufficient time to process or distribute the harvest without the need for expensive, high-tech cold storage infrastructure. This variety is designed for growers who prioritize efficiency, health, and consistent yield.
