Zinta is a late-ripening grape variety with vigorous bushes and black round berries, developed at the Stavskiy Center for Viticulture (SKZNIISiV). This variety is distinguished by increased resistance to diseases and pests, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various conditions. The berries of the Zinta variety have a high sugar content in the juice — from 18 to 20 g per 100 cm³, and the acidity is 8.7 g/dm³, which facilitates the production of quality raw materials for winemaking.
The main application of the Zinta variety is related to the production of high-quality dry wines. The yield from one bush reaches 9-10 kg, which allows obtaining significant volumes of winemaking material. Wines from this variety are characterized by a good tasting score, reaching 7.9 points, which indicates high quality and taste merits of the product.
The Zinta variety is the result of many years of breeding work aimed at creating grapes with specified useful traits. In the laboratory of grape breeding and variety study, where this variety was created, modern methods, including DNA technologies, are used to improve the genetic fund and increase the economic value of grapes. Work on clonal breeding continues, which allows improving varieties and adapting them to various growing conditions.
