MOSCOW WHITE

Moscow White is a universal grape variety of early ripening, bred by specialists of MСХА named after K. A. Timiryazev by crossing the Amursky iz Komsomolsk and Zhemchug saba varieties. Bushes are medium-sized with leaves of medium or large size, deeply dissected and weakly hairy on the underside. Bunches have a cylinder-conical or conical shape, medium density, weighing from 215 to 330 grams. Berries are of medium size, round or oval, with white or light-green skin and juicy flesh possessing a harmonious taste. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, tolerating temperatures down to -30°C, which allows growing it in various climatic conditions, including non-industrial viticulture zones and suburban plots. Resistance to fungal diseases is average, with disease susceptibility within 40-60%. Yield is above average, with an indicator of about 5.4 kg per bush, making it attractive to both amateur and professional viticulturists. Moscow White is suitable for growing in open ground and wall culture, as well as for universal use — both for fresh consumption and for juice production. Tasting score of fresh berries is 8.0 points, and of juice — 8.3 points. Sugar content reaches 18%, acidity about 9 g/l, ensuring a pleasant balance of taste and aromatic qualities.
