Skungub 2 — a universal grape variety with very early ripening, bred by K. P. Skuin and E. N. Gubin. The bushes of this variety are vigorous, with medium-sized leaves that have strong dissection and slight cobwebby pubescence. The petiolar notch on the leaves is open, which is a characteristic feature of the variety. Bunches are of medium size, cylindrical-conical in shape, and of medium density, with a mass of about 234 grams. Berries are oval, red-black in color, of medium size, giving the variety an attractive appearance.

The tasting score of fresh grapes is 8.4 points, and of the juice is 8.5 points, indicating high fruit quality. The variety is characterized by sugar content at the level of 18.7% and acidity of 10.6 g/l, which ensures a harmonious taste and good balance. Yield is average and reaches 139 centners per hectare, with a maximum yield of up to 165 centners per hectare. Bush management is headless, multi-armed, fan-shaped, with pruning lengths from short to medium, which facilitates care and plant formation.

The Skungub 2 variety has disease resistance at the level of 40-60%, but is susceptible to spider mite damage in the same range. Thanks to its characteristics and universality, this grape is suitable for cultivation in various crop growing zones. It has been included in the State Register of the Russian Federation since 2000, confirming its adaptability and demand among viticulturists.
