MOSCOW DACHNY

Moscow Dachny is a universal mid-early grape variety, distinguished by high winter hardiness and adaptability to the variable climate of northern regions. Bushes are vigorous, with leaves ranging from medium to large sizes and a dense cobwebby pubescence on the lower surface. Bunches are cylinder-conical in shape, of medium density, weighing from 160 to 180 grams, sometimes reaching 300 grams. Berries are oval-shaped, medium-sized, with white skin and juicy, fleshy pulp. The taste is varietal, with pronounced sweetness and a slight acidity. Sugar content of the berries is about 15.7%, acidity — 10.9 g/l, which ensures a harmonious taste for both fresh consumption and wine or juice production. Yield of the variety is moderate — approximately 4.6 kg per bush. Bush form is non-trunk, multi-arm, fan-shaped, with short and medium pruning lengths. Despite high frost resistance, the variety is susceptible to fungal diseases with an infection rate of 40-60%, which requires timely prevention and care. Moscow Dachny is recommended for cultivation in non-industrial viticulture zones, on home plots, in open ground, and against walls. Thanks to its characteristics, it is a promising variety for northern regions of Russia, ensuring a stable yield and high berry quality. The tasting score of fresh grapes reaches 8.3 points, and juice — 8.1 points, which confirms its versatility and appeal for various methods of use.
