Moscato Giallo is a grape variety originating from Italy, which is a natural hybrid between White Muscat and an unknown variety. This grape is grown primarily in northern Italy, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. The variety has a medium ripening period, hermaphroditic flowers that promote good pollination and high yield. Leaves are round, weakly lobed, five-lobed, while clusters are small, cylindro-conical, of medium density or dense. Berries are small, round, yellow-gold in color with a waxy bloom, have thin skins and juicy flesh with a characteristic muscat flavor. The Moscato Giallo variety is distinguished by high yield, however it is sensitive to fungal diseases and frosts, which requires special attention during cultivation. The grapes are used to produce wines with an intense golden color and moderate acidity. Thanks to their organoleptic properties, it is ideal for creating aromatic dessert wines, which are valued for their rich muscat aroma and balanced sweetness. One of the well-known products based on this variety is a white semi-sweet wine produced by the Italian manufacturer Mezzacorona. The wine has a volume of 750 ml and is classified under the DOC standard, which confirms its high quality and origin. It has a pleasant semi-sweet taste and a bright aroma characteristic of muscat wines, making it an excellent choice for lovers of dessert and light white wines.
