Red Globe grape is a table variety with a late ripening period, requiring from 140 to 155 days for full maturity. Berries of this variety differ in large size, round or slightly oval shape, weight from 10 to 20 grams, and diameter of 24-28 mm. Berry color varies from pink to brown or red-purple shade depending on the degree of ripeness and growing conditions. The pulp is fleshy-juicy, crisp, with a pleasant taste and neutral aroma. The skin is thin, strong, and edible, making this variety particularly attractive to consumers.
Red Globe is characterized by very high yield and large conical bunches with an average weight from 800 to 1500 grams. To achieve maximum fruit quality, it is recommended to normalize the bunches - no more than one per vine, as well as thinning, in which about 20% of berries are removed after they reach a diameter of 6 mm. The grape has good frost resistance, withstands temperatures down to -19…-22 °C, which allows it to be grown in various climatic conditions. However, the variety is sensitive to fungal diseases, such as downy mildew, powdery mildew, and black rot, so it requires regular treatment to protect from diseases.
One of the significant advantages of Red Globe is its high transportability and attractive appearance, which makes it in demand on the market. The grape is well stored, retaining freshness and color for 3-4 months after harvest. Strong-growing bushes of this variety ensure good ripening of one-year-old shoots and stable yield, which makes Red Globe an excellent choice for both commercial cultivation and personal estates.
