Grape Galbena Nou is a very early or early ripening variety, reaching maturity in 105 to 120 days, usually from early to mid-August. The bushes of this variety are vigorous, with shoots that ripen well throughout almost the entire length of growth. The clusters are large and very large, wide-conical in shape, weighing from 450 to 700 grams, moderately loose or loose. The berries are large, weighing 7-8 grams, round or slightly oval, acquiring an amber-white or creamy-yellow hue upon ripening. The berry flesh is meaty-juicy with a pleasant muscat aroma, which gives them high taste qualities. Galbena Nou is distinguished by high yield, with a number of fruiting shoots ranging from 70 to 85%, and about 1.1-1.5 clusters per shoot. The bush load is 35-45 buds when pruning the fruiting cane to 6-10 buds, but due to the high fruitfulness of buds at the base of the shoots, short pruning to 3-4 buds is also possible. Cuttings root easily and are well compatible with most rootstocks and varieties. When planted with own-rooted seedlings and proper soil preparation, the grape begins to bear fruit by the second or third year. In case of freezing of the main buds, the variety is able to quickly recover from replacement buds. The variety has increased frost resistance, withstanding temperatures down to -25...-26°C without cover. Moreover, Galbena Nou is distinguished by resistance to main grape diseases, such as downy mildew and gray rot, which significantly facilitates care and reduces the need for treatments. Berry sweetness varies from 17 to 23%, while acidity is from 5 to 8 g/l, which makes this grape in demand for fresh consumption. Due to the combination of early ripening, high yield, excellent taste, and resistance to unfavorable conditions, Galbena Nou is an attractive choice for gardeners and vintners.
