DAGESTAN AMBER

The Amber Dagestani grape variety is an early-ripening table variety with white or amber-yellow oval berries. The berries are characterized by their large size, fleshy and juicy flesh with a pronounced muscat aroma, giving them a pleasant and rich taste. The clusters of this variety are of medium and large size, cylinder-conical in shape, and of medium density, which ensures a good commercial appearance and ease of harvest collection. Sugar content in the berries varies from 16.6% to 18.4%, while acidity is about 5.7-6.3 g/l, making the taste balanced and harmonious.

The bushes of the variety are characterized by vigorous growth and high yield, reaching 97.5-140 c/ha. Leaves are of medium size, five-lobed, without pubescence, which facilitates plant care. Amber Dagestani has good winter hardiness, withstanding temperatures down to -20-22°С, and in some variants down to -23°С, which allows for its cultivation in regions with a moderately cold climate. The variety demonstrates resistance to major fungal diseases such as downy mildew and powdery mildew, with a resistance rating of 7 points, and is also weakly affected by pests, including the grape moth and spider mite.

This grape is suitable for both technical and table use due to the high quality of the berries and their taste characteristics. The berries have a firm skin of medium thickness, which is not felt when consumed, which increases their appeal to consumers. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region and is the result of selection by the Dagestani Experimental Station of Viticulture and Vegetables. Thanks to high yield, excellent taste qualities, and resistance to unfavorable conditions, Amber Dagestani is a promising choice for viticulturists and grape lovers.
