Local Lower Volga variety. Was regionalized in the Lower Volga region.
Trees are tall, bushy, multi-stemmed, with elongated-oval crown shape.
Shoots are long, fast-growing, curved, light gray in color. Buds are large, broad-conical, heavily hairy. Leaves are medium-sized, egg-shaped, entire, wrinkled, heavily hairy on the underside. Bracts are large, leaf-like, entire, without glands.
Fruits are small, weighing 40-60 g, round-apple-shaped, oily to the touch, greenish-yellow, densely covered with dark gray woolly hairs that do not easily wash off.
Flesh is dense, very sour, astringent, with many large gritty cells, moderate aroma.
Fruits store for 60 to 75 days. Intended for processing; seeds are used for cultivating high-quality winter-hardy rootstocks for large-fruited varieties.
Variety is high-yielding, winter-hardy, and drought-resistant.
Advantages of the variety: high yield, resistance to pests, diseases, and extreme environmental factors.
Disadvantages of the variety: tall tree, small, heavily hairy fruits of mediocre taste.
