SPARTA – a densely foliated medium-length hedgehog cultivar with numerous shoots, making it particularly palatable for animals compared to other varieties prone to forming large numbers of stems in spring. The plant features good yield distribution throughout the entire growing season: productivity is maintained in spring, summer, and autumn.
The cultivar has high winter hardiness – this has been confirmed by trials in Austria, after which SPARTA was entered into the State Register of Breeding Achievements. Furthermore, it demonstrates high resistance to diseases: mastigosporiosis and rust.
SPARTA is a female-type flowering hybrid with a flowering period of 38–40 days. The plant is robust, possesses excellent regenerative ability, forming several flower heads (2–4 per node) ranging from 6 to 10 cm in length. The cultivar combines late flowering with high yield, making it attractive for farmers seeking a stable and reliable product.
