Agrostis stolonifera - this is creeping bentgrass, known for its high decorative value and resistance to low mowing up to 5 mm. The grass has a dense growth, which provides a thick and even cover even on dark soils. Due to the high density and strength of the stems, it can withstand frequent trampling while maintaining the integrity of the coating.
A feature of this variety is the way the plant grows: Agrostis stolonifera spreads laterally, forming numerous shoots with nodes-«whiskers» that take root and form small clumps about 10 cm high. These miniature bushes gradually cover the area, creating a soft, light green multilayer carpet. The grass easily recovers after transplantation: even shredded pieces can be «sown» in the soil - within a month they will germinate and restore the green cover.
Thanks to its unpretentiousness, Agrostis stolonifera is often called a lazy lawn. It is well suited for both cottage and park clearings as well as in tree rows of fruit orchards. If desired, mowing can be carried out to create a decorative multilayer coating, however, even without care, it retains an attractive appearance throughout the season.
