FIOLENT

The Fiolent eggplant variety is an early or early-mid season variety with a vegetation period ranging from 65 to 130 days depending on growing conditions. The plant is characterized by its compact size, with a height ranging from 50 cm to 1 meter, a powerful root system, and abundant foliage. The fruits have an elongated-cylindrical shape, reaching lengths from 18 to 24 cm and weights from 200 to 600 grams. Their coloration varies from dark purple to almost black, with thin skin and dense flesh without bitterness, ensuring excellent taste qualities.

The variety is resistant to adverse weather conditions and has good resistance to diseases, although it requires protection from pests and viral infections. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to follow agricultural techniques: seeds undergo thermal treatment and germination, and seedlings are planted with interrows of 40-50 cm and a distance between plants of about 40 cm. Regular watering, soil loosening, and fertilization with mineral and organic fertilizers contribute to the formation of a high yield, which can reach 50 tons per hectare.

Fiolent eggplant fruits are suitable for various uses in cooking, including fresh dishes, canning, and freezing, while maintaining their taste and density. The yield withstands careful transportation and short-term storage in cool, dark conditions well, although it is recommended to consume the eggplants immediately after harvest to maximize quality preservation.
