Eggplant Violetta

Growing «Violetta» in Open Field Conditions

Working with the «Violetta» eggplant variety from «Sspk Agrofirmy Mars» reveals a clear advantage: it is built for field stability. Unlike greenhouse hybrids, this variety excels in open soil. The main task for an operator here is managing the load on the bush, as the fruits reach a substantial weight of 300–400 grams, necessitating proper plant support.

Fruit Characteristics and Harvest

The rounded shape of the fruit makes manual harvesting straightforward. Measuring 12 to 25 cm in length, the fruits maintain their marketability without becoming overly fibrous. The deep dark-purple color serves as a reliable ripeness indicator. Thanks to its geometry, «Violetta» holds up well during transport, resisting deformation in crates, which minimizes waste during logistics.

Technical Considerations

• Maintenance: The variety responds well to consistent irrigation and balanced fertilization. Proper mulching is essential to keep the heavy fruits from coming into direct contact with wet soil.
• Durability: The plant shows solid resistance to temperature fluctuations, which is crucial for open-field cultivation.
• Operations: Given the fruit size, staking is necessary, which simplifies both the maintenance of the plantation and the harvesting process.

If you are looking for a reliable option for commercial vegetable farming, «Violetta» by «Sspk Agrofirmy Mars» justifies the resources invested through stable yields and predictable performance. It is a workhorse variety that provides consistent results without the surprise of malformed crops or barren plants when managed with proper agronomic practices.
