Eggplant Leyre F1

Leire F1 — an early-maturing eggplant hybrid developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan. The ripening period is 65-70 days after transplanting seedlings, enabling a quick harvest. The plant is open-type with strong stems, dense foliage, and a well-developed root system, ensuring good stress resistance and adaptability to various agronomic practices under moderate watering. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses, expanding its usability across different climatic conditions. Leire F1 fruits have an elongated-cylindrical shape and an attractive striped reddish-purple color. Fruit length reaches 16-18 cm, diameter varies from 5 to 8 cm, and weight is 300-350 g. The flesh is tender and free of bitterness, making them universally suitable for culinary use. They are ideal for frying, baking, stewing, marinating, pickling, and freezing. Thanks to good transportability and ability to retain turgor and flavor qualities, the harvest can be stored and transported without quality loss. The recommended planting density is 30-40 thousand plants per hectare, ensuring optimal growth and high yield. The Leire F1 hybrid is of interest for commercial cultivation and distribution in retail networks due to its combination of early maturity, stress resistance, and attractive fruit appearance. This makes it a profitable choice for both farmers and home gardeners.
