Eggplant FIOALKA

Field-Proven Performance

The Fialka eggplant variety is a stable selection developed by the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of NAAS, specifically designed for large-scale outdoor production. This variety is a top choice for commercial growers looking for a reliable, non-hybrid crop that performs consistently in field conditions across Ukraine.

Agronomic Management and Harvesting

With a maturity period of 100–110 days from transplanting, Fialka allows producers to plan a steady harvest window during the peak demand season. The variety is characterized by a strong bush structure capable of supporting a generous yield without additional support in many soil types.

• Market-Ready Fruit Size: The fruits average 200–300 grams, meeting the standard size requirements for both retail fresh markets and vegetable processors.
• Resilience: The plant shows good adaptation to temperature fluctuations, typical for temperate climate zones, ensuring lower risk of crop loss in the open field.

For optimal results, growers should prioritize adequate fertilization and regular irrigation. Fialka’s flesh density makes it highly suitable for transport, reducing post-harvest losses. Whether destined for industrial processing or the fresh produce aisle, this variety provides the structural integrity and consistent quality that commercial agricultural operations require to remain profitable in an open-field production model.
