Nite Lady F1

The eggplant Nite Lady F1 is an ultra-early hybrid developed by the American seed company United Genetics. The vegetative period ranges from 45 to 50 days, allowing for a quick harvest. The plant is medium-height, robust, and fairly leafy, with a stem height of about 70 cm. The hybrid is characterized by high yield, forming up to 12 fruits per plant even at elevated temperatures. The recommended planting density is 28-32 thousand plants per hectare, as the variety is sensitive to overcrowding.

The fruits of the Nite Lady F1 eggplant have an elongated-cylindrical shape, 20-25 cm long and 4-5 cm in diameter, weighing 180-250 g. Their surface is smooth, even, and glossy, colored in a rich dark-purple hue. The flesh is light, dense, and flavorful, free of bitterness, protected by a thin and firm skin. Due to their high storability, the fruits withstand transportation and long-term storage well, making them popular both on fresh markets and for culinary processing.

The Nite Lady F1 hybrid exhibits high resistance to verticillium wilt and tolerance to mosaic virus and phytophthora. It is well-adapted to cultivation in southern regions, resistant to high temperatures and drought. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow seeds in seed trays from January to March, then transplant them into open ground. The plant requires regular soil loosening and feeding, as well as protection against pests such as mites and aphids.
