Eggplant FRANT

Stability and Compactness for Greenhouse Growing

The «Frant» eggplant variety from «Ssf Gisok» is a breeding solution for those prioritizing predictable results in protected ground conditions. Unlike large-fruited hybrids that require complex pruning and training, this eggplant is balanced: with a fruit weight of 100–200 grams, it allows for high-density planting in greenhouses without compromising harvest quality.

Agrotechnical Insights

The focus of «Frant» is on early maturation. The seedling stage lasts only 50–60 days, making it an excellent choice for regions with shorter growing seasons. Its round shape and deep dark-purple color distinguish it from traditional cylindrical varieties, increasing market appeal for local retail. Key features include:

• Space Efficiency: Ideal for small greenhouses and tunnel covers.
• Consistent Weight: 100–200g fruits are convenient for culinary use and uniform packaging.
• Provenance: Developed by a team including E.N. Andreeva, S.L. Nazina, and L.G. Avakimova, ensuring adaptation to regional climate conditions.

It is important to note that «Frant» requires careful microclimate management. Designed specifically for protected ground, it reaches its full potential with regular fertilization and stable humidity levels. If your goal is to harvest early-season produce with predictable size and excellent marketability without the hassle of managing oversized fruits, «Frant» is a reliable addition to your agrotechnical toolkit.
