Description Yunga
Yunga is an early-maturing hybrid mini-eggplant intended for cultivation in open and protected ground, as well as in container culture. From germination to the beginning of fruit collection takes about 100 days. The plant is compact, semi-spreading, reaching a height of up to 75 cm. Fruits have an oval-pumpkin shape, 5-10 cm in length and 5-7 cm in diameter, weighing from 65 to 150 grams. Their distinguishing feature is the beautiful variegated white-purple coloration with longitudinal lilac-white stripes, resembling a sailor's t-shirt, which served as the source of the hybrid's name.

The fruit flesh is snow-white, without bitterness, with a small number of seeds, making them universal in cuisine. Mini-eggplants Yunga are suitable for frying, stewing, stuffing, and baking, and are also consumed raw in salads. Thanks to excellent taste qualities and compact fruit sizes, they are convenient to use and attractive to lovers of various dishes.

The hybrid is distinguished by heat and cold tolerance, resistance to most eggplant diseases, which ensures environmental friendliness and yield stability. The recommended planting density is 4 plants per square meter when forming into three stems. For container cultivation, a soil volume of not less than 7 liters per plant is required, and during the winter period, additional lighting with a phyto-lamp is needed. Yield reaches up to 8 kg per square meter in open ground and up to 10 kg in protected ground.
