Ukrainian variety Green Bunch is an aromatic herbaceous plant of mid-late maturity, reaching a height of 100 to 120 cm. Bushes have dark green, deeply lobed triangular leaves with a waxy coating, giving them a characteristic appearance. This variety is distinguished by a strong, rich aroma and bright taste, making it versatile for use both fresh and for pickling, marinades, and other preservation methods.
Green Bunch boasts high yield: from one square meter, you can harvest 1.7 to 3.9 kg of greens and spices. The vegetative period is about 40-45 days for greens and up to 60 days for seed production. Dill seeds germinate within 10-14 days after sowing, which is recommended at a depth of 1-2 cm and with an interval of 2-3 weeks for continuous fresh product harvest. The plant is undemanding to soil, prefers sunny spots and sufficient moisture, which makes it easy to grow even for novice gardeners.
The variety is resistant to major diseases and adverse weather conditions, including frosts down to -4°C, ensuring a stable harvest in various climates. Green Bunch is widely used in cooking to flavor soups and main courses, salads, sandwiches, as well as for making pickles and canned goods. Additionally, dill greens are rich in beneficial substances: essential oils, flavonoids, amino acids, vitamins A, C, PP, and B, as well as micro- and macroelements, making them not only tasty but also healthy.
