The "Russian Traditions" dill variety is a late-maturing bush type intended for obtaining fragrant and juicy greens. Plants form a lush spherical rosette with 23-25 large leaves, reaching up to 70 cm in height. The leaves are juicy green, highly cut, and rich in essential oils, which gives the greens a saturated and intensifying aroma with age. Due to the high content of essential oils, fiber, and minerals, dill possesses not only a pleasant taste but also beneficial properties.
From germination to harvest takes 40-50 days, making the variety sufficiently productive. Plants are characterized by great vitality and vigor, are resistant to bolting, which allows for multiple harvests of greens — after cutting, dill can regrow up to 3-4 times. It is recommended to break off 2-3 leaves from the lower tier weekly, which ensures a long period of fresh green supply of up to one month. The yield is about 4 kg per square meter.
The variety is successfully grown both in open ground and in greenhouse or indoor conditions. For an earlier harvest, autumn sowing with dry seeds in late October - early November is possible, as well as early spring sowing after preliminary soaking of seeds for a day with regular water replacement. Sowing should not be crowded to ensure optimal conditions for plant development. Dill "Russian Traditions" is excellent for fresh consumption, as well as for drying, freezing, and canning, imparting dishes an exquisite taste and aroma.
