Description
Dill variety Charodey is a medium-maturing variety with a harvest period from germination to cutting of 42-64 days. Plants reach a height of 70-90 cm and are characterized by strong foliage. The stem is upright and delicate, while the leaves are dark green, deeply cut, and covered with a medium waxy bloom. Dill possesses a strong aroma and excellent taste qualities, making it in demand both in cooking and canning.
To obtain a continuous harvest of tender greens, it is recommended to sow every 10-14 days, both in open ground and under cover. The planting scheme is 3-4 plants per 21 cm. The variety yield is high: marketable yield for greens reaches 1.2 kg per square meter, and for spices — 2.6 kg per square meter. This allows for effective use of dill both for fresh consumption and for drying and storage.
The Charodey variety is widely used as an indispensable spice when pickling and marinating mushrooms, tomatoes, cucumbers, and other vegetables. In addition, it serves as an excellent seasoning for soups, meat products, and vegetable salads. High aromaticity and uniform formation of tender greens make this dill a popular choice among gardeners and chefs.
