Valday Dill: Performance and Reliability

When selecting varieties for intensive farming, soil-borne diseases often become the biggest challenge. Valday, developed by Ip Glava Kfh Karakaj Irina Timofeevna, offers a reliable solution for producers looking to maintain high quality across the entire harvest cycle.

Agronomic Profile

Valday is a versatile variety, equally effective for both leaf and root production. With a maturity period of 90–100 days, it allows for efficient crop scheduling and consistent supply. From an operator's perspective, the variety is straightforward, requiring standard cultivation practices without complex maintenance, which helps keep labor costs manageable.

Disease Resistance and Field Health

The primary advantage of Valday is its innate genetic resistance to Verticillium and Fusarium wilt. In environments prone to high humidity or where crop rotation limits are tight, this resistance acts as a natural buffer against yield loss. Furthermore, its resistance to nematodes provides additional protection, reducing the need for intensive fungicide applications.
