Fund 404 MV

Fund 404 MV — a medium-maturing hybrid of grain maize, Ukrainian selection by the company Maïs, registered in 2005. It is recommended for cultivation in the Polissya, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe zones, demonstrating high adaptability to resource-saving technologies and stable yields under various conditions. The hybrid is characterized by FAO 400, dent-like matte-yellow grain, and cylindrical ear shape with 12–14 rows of kernels. Plants reach a height of approximately 260 cm, with ear attachment at 135 cm. A distinctive feature of the hybrid is the stay-green type of ripening, which promotes prolonged photosynthesis and improves grain quality. The recommended planting density is 50–60 thousand plants per hectare.

Agronomic advantages of Fund 404 MV include good early growth energy and strong ear attachment, which reduces harvest losses. The hybrid is resistant to lodging (rating 9 out of 9) and exhibits high resistance to major maize diseases such as common smut and corn borer. Sulfonylurea herbicides may be applied without restrictions, simplifying agronomic care and crop protection. Due to these qualities, the hybrid is suitable for intensive and resource-saving farming systems.

Fund 404 MV is suitable for cultivation on fields with various soil preparation technologies and can be successfully used under both natural and artificial irrigation conditions. Its resistance to stress factors and diseases ensures plant survival until harvest, positively affecting grain quality and market value.
