Furio — a high-yielding, mid-season corn hybrid, distinguished by its stability and adaptability to various soil and climatic conditions. It is particularly recommended for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine, where the risk of early spring frosts is reduced. The hybrid features a strong root system that ensures efficient nutrient uptake and promotes the formation of large ears and significant green mass. Plants of the Stay Green type are characterized by good leafiness and resistance to lodging, enhancing their productivity and grain quality. Furio ears have a thin stalk and numerous rows of dent corn kernels, which quickly lose moisture upon maturation, facilitating harvesting and subsequent processing. The hybrid exhibits high tolerance to major corn diseases such as root and stalk rot, downy mildew, helminthosporiosis, and rust. Due to these traits, Furio withstands drought well and can effectively utilize both natural soil fertility and increased fertilizer doses, including minimum and zero tillage technologies. Furio is widely used in agriculture for grain and silage production, making it a versatile hybrid for animal and poultry feed, as well as for the food industry, where corn is used to produce grits, starch, syrup, and alcohol. The recommended planting density is 60–70 thousand plants per hectare in the Forest-Steppe and 40–50 thousand in the Steppe, ensuring optimal conditions for maximum yield. The hybrid boasts high cold, drought resistance, and early development, making it a reliable choice for farmers.
